Day, n. A period of twenty-four hours, mostly misspent.

Does anyone actually like Daylight Savings Time? I mean, it’s really doing nothing for me. Sure, in Fall you get that illusion of sleeping in an extra hour, like you’re getting away with something, but the Spring is just nonsensical. Just when the mornings have been lightening up, we have to turn off the sun again. Back to dragging myself out of bed. . . . It doesn’t even save money since you have have your lights on in the mornings. Then at night you don’t feel like going to sleep because there’s still some light out! Now, all this is pretty new to me anyway since my area of Indiana just adopted this sucky system last year. I don’t know anyone who has preferred it.

Back when we used to camping in Michigan during the summer, we ran on our normal, unchanging, Indiana time. As result, we kids thought we were really hot stuff when all the other kids in the campground had to back to their RVs to go to bed while we stayed up another hour. It took a few years before we were disillusioned.

Anyone have any opinions on DST? I’m pretty sure no one reads my crap, so if you found your way here on accident, go ahead and leave your mark. If you came here on purpose, I’ll have to think up some gift to give you because you’re the only one. ;)
